QuattroPole Hackathon 2025 – Together to shape the city centres of the future
Again this year: EDIH Saarland re-partners of the QuattroPole Hackathons! After the great success of 2023, creative heads from Luxembourg, Metz, Saarbrücken and Trier meet to work together on solutions for the transformation of our city centres.
Under the motto: “Transformation of city centres” are topics such as: Digitalisation, vacancy management, tourism and retail at the centre. The aim is to develop concepts that make cities more liveable, sustainable and future-proof – with a cross-border approach.
What’s the concrete issue?
Participants are working in interdisciplinary teams on innovative ideas specifically tailored to one of the QuattroPole cities – in the East Side Fab, everything about life in the capital of Saarbrücken. Whether digital citizen participation, urban data portals, solutions to empty city centres or smart tourism solutions are not limited to creativity. The best concepts will be praised and rewarded before a jury.
Whether students, IT or product developers, urban planners, administrators or interested citizens, all innovative minds who want to participate are welcome! Join the team of the major quattroPole challenge on the design of the city centres of Luxembourg, Metz, Saarbrücken and Trier.
Each city is awarded a city prize, worth EUR 1000, and the most persuasive team has the chance to win the QuattroPole Challenge and a prize of EUR 3000.
