Manual control of the entire production is too expensive, a stick-like manual control is often too imprecise. The Digital Reality (DR) concept provides a structured approach to the synthetic production of training data, which makes reliable automation of quality control financially and technically possible. Measurements are simulated on the basis of scenes generated by parametric models of the real world. For example, training data can be generated in a controlled manner and in any number and used in industrial quality control with optical images.
