“Think innovative. Growing together.” – EDIH Saarland at the Citizens’ Festival for the Day of German Unity in Saarbrücken
From 2-4 October 2025 was Saarbrücken the vibrant centre of the celebrations of the Day of German Unity – and co-tendrine: the EDIH Saarland. Together with the Small and medium-sized digital centre Saarbrücken and Saaris – saarland innovation & Ort GmbH in the subject area, we presented: “Future through change” to the Mainzer Street 38 embrace digital innovations.
Digitalisation to experience and participate
Our community stand attracted visitors with: interactive demonstrators for testing – of AI-based early detection of damage about voice-controlled robotics or even It security solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises, everything was involved.
Whether curious citizens, business and political representatives or young talents: the interest was huge and it was consistently high on all three days.
“We only create sustainable progress together” – this idea shaped the entire appearance of the Saarland EDIH at the Citizens’ Festival.
Our digital experts were available with advice, enthusiasm and many exciting insights to show how: digital technologies create concrete added value for the economy, administration and society.
High-level visit and inspiring meetings
There were not only practical demonstrations at the Citizens’ Festival, but also valuable conversations and networking opportunities.
Guests included: Minister for Economic Affairs Jürgen Barke and State Secretary Elena Yorgova-Ramanauskas. Both personally informed about the innovations shown. Your great interest underscores the importance of: Digitalisation and innovation as a location factor for Saarland.
A full energy and future spirit of Saarland
With round 400.000 visitors the Citizens’ Festival in Saarbrücken became a special experience of encounters, energy and geese skin moments.
Saarland presented itself as: open, forward-looking and digitally strong federal state, “the progress not only discusses but makes it liveable.
Working together for a digital future
EDIH Saarland thanked all visitors for the great interest and inspiring exchanges.
Our conclusion: Digitalisation lives from one another — and the courage to try news. This was clearly felt on the citizens’ festival.
