The objective of the IT incident expert (BSI) qualification is to detect IT security incidents more quickly, analyse them, limit the extent of the damage and prevent further damage. Building on the expertise of the incident practitioner, the knowledge on the structured handling of a security incident will be deepened and supplemented with key aspects along the standardised approach of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).

Objective
Further training includes the learning objectives and the prescribed curriculum of the BSI for qualification and certification. By participating in this qualification, you meet a requirement to be admitted to the assessment of experts in the IT incident.
It also addresses specific features of OT (operational technology) systems, which can then be further deepened in optional modules.

Contents

  • Definition of legal and organisational framework
  • Repetition of behaviours & content from the qualification of the incident practitioner
  • Overview and provision of necessary basic knowledge on forensics & attack scenarios
  • Deepening the standard approach to handling IT incidents
  • Identification and mitigation of the consequences of the main attacks
  • Providing knowledge on incident handling of OT systems
  • Establishment of an organisational basis for structured incident resolution
  • Providing practical knowledge of analysis and resolution of incidents
  • Providing awareness-raising knowledge of the organisation concerned

Completion
You will receive a participant certificate at the end of the 3-day seminar.

audience
It will be addressed to decision-makers, advisers and staff who are already trained as an incident practitioner within the cyber security network and have basic IT security and forensics skills.

In addition, qualification as an optimal basic training for IT security managers is suitable to prepare companies for attacks and, in the long term, to protect them from cyber attacks.
